Ms. Novotny is the principal at St. Anthony Tri-Parish Catholic School. She has 30 years experience in teaching, 16 of them in administration. She is state certified, and is a member of National Catholic Education Association and Association Supervision and Curriculum Development.

Ms. Novotny holds her Bachelor of Science in Education from Illinois State University; Master of Arts in Teaching from Grand Canyon University; and her middle school endorsement from Bemidge State University, and is highly qualified in Language Arts and Social Studies. She has 57 post-graduation hours from the University of Wyoming.

She has been interviewed by Redbook, Scholastic News, Updates from Association and Curriculum Development, and NEA Today from the National Education Association. She has presented at the National School Board Association Annual Conference in Long Beach and The National Education Association in Orlando, Florida.

Furthermore, she co-designed and implemented a K-8 program at a new school in 1990, Woods Learning Center, Casper, WY. She was named to Who's Who four times by students, Natrona County School District Significant Educator twice, and 2004 Ellbogen Meritorious Educator. She was nominated for the Presidential Science Educator for Wyoming, twice.

During her teaching career, Ms. Novotny has taught all grade levels (K-6) prior to coming to St. Anthony's.
