Requirements to enroll: Must be age five for kindergarten or age six for first grade by September 15th(Wyoming State Statute § 21-4-302(b)). Must have completed application.
Curriculum Used: Approved textbooks and supplemental materials
State standards covered in curriculum: Wyoming State Standards
Religion curriculum: Christ Our Life (Loyola Press), Bishop Apporved; supplemented by daily Scripture reading, participation in Mass, saints study, daily prayers, and learning new prayers each month.
Skills taught: All kindergarten and first grade skills are taught applying developmentally appropriate practices. Language Arts instruction includes all aspects of the reading, writing, speaking, and listening process through the teaching of phonics, guided reading, literature, writer's workshop, and projects. Mathematics instruction includes number sense, operations of addition and subraction, place value, geometry, measurement, patterns, and graphing. Science and social studies skills are also taught.
Goals To Achieve By The End Of The Year: To help each child grow spiritually, cognitively, and emotionally and to experience the love of God in their lives.
