Requirements to enroll: Must be age five by September 15th(Wyoming State Statute § 21-4-302(b)). Must have completed application.
Skills taught: Kindergartners are taught to use reading strategies to demonstrate understanding of literary and informational texts. Students are taught the writing process and appropriate strategies to write expressive and expository pieces. Listening and speaking skills are incorporated. Math concepts include development of number sense and number relationships in problems, geometric concepts, properties and relationships in problem-solving, using a variety of tools and techniques to measure, recognize patterns, creating and interpreting graphs. An emphasis on socialization skills is nurtured. Integration of large and fine motor skills is incorporated. All skills are taught applying developmentally appropriate practices.
Goals To Achieve By The End Of The Year: Have skills necessary for first grade reading; build math foundation, such as numeration, basic adding and subtracting, one-to-one correspondence etc., and develop positive self-esteem. Our #1 goal is to enjoy learning and be excited about coming each day.
ART

MUSIC
