Summer Play camp

The themes for 2006 are:
• Camping / Forest Animals: Use your imagination as we fish, sing songs around the campfire and eat s'mores. We'll go on a hunt for woodland creatures in the park and learn what kind of pelts they have.
• Dinosaurs: Learn about dinosaurs while digging for real fossils. A paleontologist will come visit the budding scientists.
• Circus & Zoo Animals: Walk the tightrope, get your face painted, be astonished by a juggler, and watch the taming of a wild pet! Leave with a balloon animal created by a real clown.

Summer Play Camp gives children precious time to get in touch with the beauty and mystery of the earth.  Weekly activities include art, music, movement, literature, cooking, science, free learning centers, and outdoor play.  We blend Christian values into learning experiences and welcome children of all faiths. This play camp will offer the benefit of certified teachers working with young children in a safe nurturing environment.  Small class size will be maintained; the student to facilitator ratio is 5 to 1. Nutritious snacks will be offered.

Daily Blessing Activity:  Children will make a spiritual connection with the earth through music, movement, and thanksgiving.

Daily Class Theme Schedule:
9:00-9:30 Arrival, Free Choice/Table Activities
9:30-10:00 Small Group Learning with Teachers

Here’s what some parents had to say in previous years:

"The first day my daughter was shy about coming, but by the second day, she couldn’t wait to get there.” —Dana Wirtz

“We enjoyed finding out what our children (ages 3 & 4) were interested in and how they were doing.  We thought it was great how the themes for each week were taught through various methods.”
—Katie Vigneri

“My four-year old son absolutely loved it.  I am very pleased with how he adapted to a new situation.” —Kelsee Miller
